State Key Laboratory of Plant Diversity and Prominent Crops (proposed)

is searching for a Director

The State Key Laboratory of Plant Diversity and Prominent Crops (proposed) invites applications for the position of Director. Applicants should be highly qualified and internationally recognized experts in the research fields of plant diversity and conservation, phylogenetics and evolution, and rapid domestication and improvement of prominent crops. Applicants should have demonstrated an outstanding ability, innovative potential, and scientific stringency. They are expected to show continued creativity as well as academic leadership and should be dedicated to mentoring younger scientists. State Key Laboratory of Plant Diversity and Prominent Crops (proposed) focuses mainly on researches of plant diversity and conservation, phylogenetics and evolution, and rapid domestication and improvement of important economic crops. It is established based on Institute of Botany of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and jointly by other four institutions of CAS, including Kunming Institute of Botany, South China Botanical Garden, Wuhan Botanical Garden and Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden. The laboratory comprises 50-60 research teams.
