Ms. Sara Oldfield, the Secretary-General of Botanical Garden Conservation International (BGCI), attended the 2nd International Symposium on the Family Magnoliaceae (ISFM) held by South China Botanical Garden (SCBG) on May 5-8. During the attendance, she visited SCBG, including the Conservatory-Greenhouses (The World of Plants), in high spirits, highly praising the construction and development of the garden in the recent years. After finishing her visit, she could not help writing an inscription: "The World of Plants is a wonderful display for the people of Guangzhou, China and the World. The South China Botanical Garden is internationally renowned for its science & conservation - & now for us magnificent glasshouse".
